“So remember when I told you it’s just like licking a popsicle and you insisted it wasn’t and so I showed you with Riku…”

Sora’s eyes grew increasingly larger as Kairi continued, his feet slowly inching backwards. He might have made it out the door too if Riku hadn’t planted a solid hand on his shoulder.

“Well, now,” Kairi said with a triumphant smile, “it can be just like a popsicle.” Her hand, which had hitherto been behind her back, reappeared to shove a small square packet in his face.

“What…what’s that?” Sora asked, reluctantly curious. He glanced back at Riku, who was suspiciously pink.

“Flavored condoms! And not just any flavor–sea salt ice cream!”

Sora tentatively took the packet from Kairi, holding it dubiously between thumb and forefinger. He glanced at Riku, who was staring at anything but Sora’s eyes.

Sora grinned. “I like sea-salt ice cream.”
